29 maart
– 9:30 – 17:30 Flood Management Symposium (optioneel)
Pooling German and Dutch experience and the knowledge gained opens an interesting basis for discussion regarding the ongoing innovative developments required in both countries. This jointly organized symposium creates a platform for dialogue with a focus on “water in cities and towns”.
Key topics:
- Can new risks be kept under control?
- Which new, resilient urban planning approaches are necessary?
- How existing planning concepts should be developed
- How preventative measures for extreme weather events have changed in the two countries in recent years
- How these need to continue to change
- What lessons we can learn from each other. Examples: Amsterdam (NL),
Rotterdam (NL), Dordrecht (NL), Deventer (NL), Hamburg (D), Munich (D),
Straubing (D), Münster (D)
These necessary new developments must not detract from the attention focused on the “normal” flood events. This exciting and varied symposium combines interesting presentations and dialogues. Click here to see the full programme.
During this day it will also be possible to meet with representatives of the Dutch Embassy. If you are interested, please contact us!
– 14.00 – 17.00 2-5 site visit at the fairground (optioneel)
- Learn more about innovative technologies and working environments for companies in the water business at the EUREF-Campus – the unique smart city and innovation district of the future in Berlin.
- Meet the founder of Smart Wins – a start-up, which tries to translate the Internet of Things approach into the drinking water installations and visit the “Hello Water” Showroom of Palmetto.
