AWT watertreatment obtained the exclusive distribution of Poreflon membranes in Europe

Poreflon membranes are produced by Sumitomo. Sumitomo is a multinational with a turnover of more than 25 billion dollars and has branches in more than 66 countries worldwide.

Poreflon is a superior “hollow fiber” membrane, made from  polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), with excellent chemical resistance, heat resistance and durability.

The membrane is mechanically very strong, can be cleaned with various chemicals and is highly water permeable. The membrane can withstand temperatures up to 200 degrees Celsius and is also resistant to grease and silicones. These properties make it suitable for various (extreme) water treatment applications.
There is an extensive list of references available which shows, amongst more traditional applications , that the Poreflon membranes are very suitable for treatment of extreme polluted water like leachate from landfills.

The membranes are available in standard cassettes but also as flexible modules.
