The Dutch have been co-creating with water since the beginning. Because of this it comes as no surprise that the Dutch are somewhat renowned for their (water) inventiveness. In the Netherlands water technology plays an important role in transforming a linear economy into a circular one. Innovation is key to this transformation. Climate change puts enormous pressure on water resources. The growing population and demands for water require resilient, robust water supplies. Clean water for people, industry and food production are a global challenge. The scope of this problem is wide and varied and so are the solutions. The companies participating in the WTEX10 programme all have their own unique solutions to pressing issues. Get to know them below:

Acquaint
Acquaint is market leader of the condition assessment of pressure pipes of any material in the Netherlands. In close collaboration with research institute Wetsus and water utilities Acquaint has developed a set of unique technologies to measure remaining wall thickness, joint condition and several other failure mechanisms together with accurate XYZ mapping of rising mains, pressure sewers and drinking water transport mains.

Avic
Avic delivers worldwide secure, cost-effective, scalable and flexible IoT solutions for more than 20 years. The best solution regardless of the diversity and complexity of your assets and suitable for all types of IoT services and telemetry. We develop and manufacture the (low power) LegioBox IoT hardware suitable for virtually any application. We are also the developer of the  (low code) Avision IoT platform which allows you to easily build, or have built, your own IoT application without the need for programming.

CirTec
CirTec aims to contribute actively to a sustainable society. They focus on the recovery of resources such as the recycling of used cellulose (toilet paper) from sewage treatment, and the use of low value residual heat for evaporation of concentrated streams. They offer different screening and filtration options, such as rotating belt finesieves (IntenSieve®), as well as sludge dewatering equipment. The Crescendo evaporation technology can also be applied for stripping, scrubbing and cooling.

Desolenator
Water is our greatest resource challenge, and opportunity. The provisioning and consumption of water directly impacts our response to climate change, ocean preservation, and even community resilience and migration. Not all water is equal. Inspired by nature, Desolenator replicates the water cycle by harnessing solar energy in a new way. After years of R&D, their team of engineers, alongside some of the world’s leading water experts, have designed the next chapter in water innovation.

Ferr-Tech
Ferr-Tech is the global leader of Ferrate(VI) applications for industrial (waste)water treatment. At Ferr-Tech we produce: FerSol, Ferrate(VI) in solution. Ferrate(VI) is the strongest green oxidizing chemical known. By a patented process, Ferr-Tech makes the use of Ferrate(VI) products available for the (waste) water industry. From their headquarters in Meppel they run their waterlab and provide in high quality (waste) water testing, experiments and analysis for our clients.

FibreSecurity
Fibre Security together with NTSG Italia, have developed an innovative fibreoptic monitoring system to measure the deformation of any rigid or semi rigid material and to derive vital data such as: strain, bending, compression, stretching, loading, torsion, pressure and temperature. Their system also can identify the presence, location and estimation of the size of a leak within a pipeline (whether it is water, sewage or oil & gas) and for measuring various parameters of the fluid present in the pipeline.

Hulo
HULO’s algorithms provide water utilities with know-how about their water network. Together, we detect, localize and quantify leaks in the very early stages. By tailored solutions the knowledge stays at the client’s side. develop algorithms to design a DMA and to detect, localize and categorize leakages. Since we do this based on the needs of our customers, it allows us to make a specific solution for every client. This solution works in the system of the client, which allows them to understand it and learn from it.

Hydraloop
Hydraloop designs and produces decentralized water recycling products – award winning and first of its kind. They offer a variety of smart, innovative water recycling products for residences, commercial real estate, hotels, lodges and more.

Hydraloop products can be used everywhere: in dense cities, rural areas and off-grid situations where water supply is unstable or insufficient. Hydraloop future proofs any building and adds sustainability points for certifications like LEED and BREEAM.

Hydraloop helps companies & consumers save water and energy and contributes to keeping water supplies available for your home, commercial building or hotel.

LG Sonic
LG Sonic is a Dutch company that develops cutting-edge technologies to monitor water quality and control algal blooms. With ultrasonic algae control technology, aquatic ecosystems are recovered without chemicals. Investments in research and development have made LG Sonic leaders in algae management. In the last years, the company has grown worldwide with projects in 55 countries. Recently the company introduced a vertical profiling system and Phosphate sensor to further grow their water quality monitoring product portfolio. LG Sonic work’s primarily with drinking water utilities, governments and power plants, to remediate large reservoirs and lakes.

NX Filtration
NX Filtration is an innovative producer of membrane products for treating water and filtering beverages. NX Filtration produces advanced hollow fiber membrane modules for nanofiltration, ultrafiltration and microfiltration applications. Its unique direct nanofiltration concept was designed to remove micropollutants, color, nano plastics, selective salts and pharmaceuticals from water in one single step: without pre-treatment and without the use of chemicals. Together with a production method based on green chemistry and significant energy savings during operation, this provides a unique and sustainable solution.
