Wetsus and UMCG are happy to invite you to the seminar Medicines in waste water: boomerang or no problem? This seminar is organized on behalf of the completion of the German Dutch Interreg project Denewa and an inventory study on pharmaceuticals in urban waste water in the city of Groningen. We prepared an interesting program with contributions from Germany and The Netherlands addressing the following issues: – The impact of hospital wastewater on the water cycle in relation to other sources. Results are shown from studies in Oldenburg, Groningen and Sneek. – Antibiotic resistance in the aquatic environment and the contribution of health facilities to the spread of antibiotic resistance. – Actions taken by hospitals and technological solutions for waste water treatment. – Outlook Health-i-Care project.
