Disinfecting and processing toilet water onboard
Discharging boat toilet water into the water is not permitted without proper treatment. A certified purification system is required for this. The Nautic Waterloo is such a system.

Discharging untreated toilet water from a ship or houseboat introduces harmful bacteria into surface water, posing health risks. Therefore, there is a legal prohibition on dumping toilet waste. Stricter enforcement and mandatory sealing of onboard toilet discharge systems are expected in the near future.

We believed there had to be a better way. That’s why we—Marco de Graaff, Doekle Yntema, and Albert Bosma—decided to combine our expertise. In just two years, we developed a compact system that effectively eliminates harmful bacteria without using chemicals. The Nautic Waterloo purification system can be installed directly on the boat toilet (without the need for pre-storage) or connected to an existing wastewater tank. It integrates seamlessly with onboard electrical systems, the most common marine heating systems, and boat engines—or a combination thereof.
