Collective participation of the Dutch Water – and Agri sector at the Saudi Agriculture

The international trade exhibition Saudi Agriculture is the largest B2B agriculture sector event in the region. This event showcases leading technologies and solutions, cutting-edge engineering, and innovations.

This year, Saudi Agriculture will hold its 40th edition from 23 to 26 October in Riyadh and the focus will be on sustainable water use. This is in line with the objectives of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in Saudi Arabia. The trade fair attracts around 17,000 visitors that include distributors, farmers, and government officials. Spread over approximately 14,500 m2, there are more than 380 exhibitors, both international and from the Gulf region.

Collective participation of Dutch water- and agri-sector

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Riyadh, the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP), Dutch Greenhouse Delta and Export Partner will set up a Netherlands Pavilion fully dedicated to highlighting Dutch companies and organisations. It offers a premium location, and the strong NL brand attracts visitors and buyer delegations. Part of the Pavilion will be dedicated to the Netherlands Lounge: 18 m2 available to Dutch organisations participating in the Pavilion to present their Agri-Water-Energy-Food nexus solutions in the Gulf region. Additionally, the hosts of the Dutch space will set up a substantive matchmaking programme, schedule meetings with interested organisations from the Gulf region, and offer several presentation opportunities. Participants will also benefit from the international media reach of NWP’s promotional campaign.

Workshop and Gala Diner

Besides benefiting from the substantive matchmaking programme, scheduled meetings with organisations from the Gulf region, and presentation opportunities, participants of the NL Lounge are also invited to the KAUST Workshop for Saudi Food Futures. The workshop is held on 22 October 2023 at the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in Riyadh. It aims to mobilize key stakeholders in the Saudi Arabian food system on the national agenda for sustainable food security.

In addition to the workshop, participants of the NL Lounge are invited to the Saudi Food Futures Gala Dinner, an exclusive event hosted by the NEOM Food Company on October 22nd in Riyadh.
