Remon Water Softeners has been providing clean and clear water since 1979. Whether it is in the field of well drilling, water purification or water softening, Remon has one great passion and that is: water.
Tap water in the Netherlands, however, has one disadvantage; it contains a lot of lime. This is also referred to as hard water. A water softener ensures that the lime is filtered out of the water, resulting in soft water. This is done by means of ion exchange. An ion exchanger removes particles (ions) from liquids (water). The resin beads used for this are charged with sodium ions. The charged resin beads have the property of binding the calcium and releasing the sodium. This way, soft water is created. Because the drinking water does not come into contact with the brine, no salt is added to the drinking water and it does not taste salty.
