What’s in store?
During this mission, the Dutch SME’s will:
- Be visiting a leading UK water treatment facility and connect with key players in the UK water sector.
- Engage in focused matchmaking sessions covering pressing topics such as PFAS, leakage detection, nutrient removal and recovery, and the circular economy on the 25th
- Be attending the British Water Annual Conference on the 26th along with a booth from the Dutch Water Alliance.

Program
Monday 25 November
Afternoon: In the afternoon, the Dutch SME’s will be visiting Southern Water’s Peacehaven Wastewater Treatment Plant as part of the British Water event.
Following the site visit, there will be a ~2hr matchmaking via four roundtable discussions with Dutch SME’s covering the following proposed topics:
1. PFAS/micropollutants/upcoming substances

Evening: There will be the chance to stay on with the SMEs in Brighton to have a networking dinner.
Tuesday 26 November
British Water Annual Conference
On the second day the British Water Annual Conference, which will focus on achieving better river water quality, nutrient reduction and an ambitious storm overflow programme.
The Dutch Water Alliance will have a booth at the conference event, so do please come and visit our stand in the breakout and lunch sessions to learn more about the Dutch Water Alliance. Our SMEs will be attending the conference to learn more about the challenges and topics being discussed here in the UK.
