This year, eleven new innovation projects are being launched under the UPPWATER programme. The projects received a positive assessment of their funding applications and have now been awarded grants by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW).
Six of the selected projects fall under the Pilots and Testing funding scheme. This scheme focuses on the further development and testing of innovative water technologies in a relevant real-world environment. Five projects are receiving funding under the Full-scale Demonstration scheme, which enables innovations to be demonstrated in practice on a larger scale.
These new projects mark another step forward in the development and application of innovative water technologies in the Netherlands. Various companies, research institutions, water companies, water authorities and other organisations are working together within the projects to bring new solutions closer to practical application and scale-up.
