Bringing your innovation to market? Use the Innovation Broker!
Climate change and the transformation from a linear to a circular economy require innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions—solutions that water technology companies have to offer.
The Dutch water technology sector has a strong tradition of innovation. However, entrepreneurs and innovators sometimes face challenges in bringing their innovations to market. What funding is available? Where are the market opportunities? Which organizations and tools can help move your innovation forward?

Innovation Themes
1. Agriculture, Water & Food
Companies providing solutions to specific challenges faced by the agriculture, food, and horticulture sectors. These challenges can be divided into water quantity issues (such as efficiency and irrigation) and water quality issues (such as crop protection agents, nutrients, microbial contamination, effluent treatment), as well as the recovery of valuable resources and energy.
2. Energy Transition & Sustainability (e.g., Circular Economy, Resource Recovery)
Companies working in the field of energy from moving water (tidal energy, wave energy, energy from fall), energy from temperature differences (OTEC), and energy from salinity gradients. These companies range from technology developers to concept developers.
Additionally, this includes companies that provide circular products and services to bring value to water-related waste streams. This is done by recovering valuable components from wastewater and reusing water.
3. Health & Care
Companies working in the field of clean and healthy water (water quality), but also those that can detect pathogens in (waste)water or detect and remove pharmaceutical residues from wastewater.
Innovation Brokers is a program of TKI Water Technology, funded by RVO and executed by NWP and Water Alliance.
