Fact-finding mission to Southern California

Water Alliance, together with the Consulate General of the Netherlands in San Francisco, the Netherlands Embassy and Partners for Water, is organising a fact-finding mission to Southern California from 2 to 6 November 2026.

Southern California faces major challenges related to water availability, water quality, water reuse and efficient water management. At the same time, these challenges create promising opportunities for innovative Dutch solutions.

The mission will bring together a complementary group of 6 to 8 Dutch water technology companies offering a range of solutions and expertise.

The programme will include meetings with key stakeholders, such as water utilities, industrial companies and public authorities, complemented by relevant site visits. The programme will be tailored as much as possible to the solutions and needs of the participating companies.

Mission objectives

The mission aims to provide insight into:

• the main market needs and priorities in Southern California;
• relevant laws, regulations and market-entry requirements;
• the match between local demand and Dutch solutions;
• potential customers, partners, pilot sites and follow-up opportunities.

The insights gained will provide the basis for a targeted follow-up strategy and potential future activities in the region.
