Fact-finding mission to Southern California

Interested in opportunities for Dutch water technology in Southern California?

Water Alliance is working with the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Los Angeles, the Netherlands Embassy and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) to organise a fact-finding mission to Southern California. The region faces major challenges related to water availability, water quality, water reuse and efficient water management. At the same time, these challenges create promising opportunities for innovative Dutch technologies.

The mission is scheduled to take place from 2 to 6 November 2026 and will offer a focused programme. We aim to bring together a complementary group of 6 to 8 Dutch companies offering a range of solutions and expertise.

The proposed programme will include meetings with key stakeholders, such as water utilities, industrial companies and public authorities, complemented by relevant company and site visits. The programme will be tailored to the solutions and needs of the participating companies.

Mission objectives

The mission aims to provide insight into:

• the main market needs and priorities in Southern California;
• relevant laws, regulations and market-entry requirements;
• the match between local demand and Dutch solutions;
• potential customers, partners, pilot sites and follow-up opportunities.

The insights gained will provide the basis for a targeted follow-up strategy and potential future activities in the region.
