Water Alliance member D2D Water Solutions has won the renowned CSU Innovation Award!
More than a hundred innovations were submitted for the award of which only 16 were selected to be pitched to a jury. Drop2Drink was selected for the finals and after the winning pitch presented by Jeroen Renders at the AFAS Theatre in front of 500 industry professionals, Drop2Drink was honored with the CSU innovation award in addition to an accelerator in the form of prizemoney and the help of CSU.
One of the most significant aspects of winning the award is the professional guidance provided by experts in the field. D2D Water Solutions will receive expert support for important aspects of implementing the Drop2Drink Unit, with a specific focus on its application in the facility management sector. This mentorship is poised to streamline the integration of the innovation into various facilities, unlocking new avenues for implementation.
Clean and safe
The Drop2Drink Unit, the brainchild of D2D Water Solutions, is a cutting-edge decentralized filtration system designed to provide clean and safe drinking water from rainwater, according to Dutch and Belgian Drinking water law. This innovative technology is brand new in the market place and provides a new way of synergizing with centralized dinking water systems. Centralized drinking water systems can keep providing their efficient water to urban regions, whilst the Drop2Drink unit could be implemented in rural areas. This enables both strengths to help each other out. Furthermore, it becomes easy to provide a drinking water infrastructure rather fast in regions where this is not available yet.
