Who is this project for?
This project targets Dutch water technology companies, particularly scale-ups (10–75 employees) with international ambitions. Within the project, we primarily explore market opportunities for SMEs, especially in the United States & Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, and Italy.

How can I benefit from this?
The programme distinguishes between two markets, each with a specific approach. As a company, you can choose which market is of interest to you. You can then register to participate. The two markets are:
1. Countries with a developed market for water technology
Joint, well-prepared water technology missions, resulting in:
- Scale and specific positioning at events
- A collective platform for Dutch companies
- Matchmaking opportunities
2. Developing countries / Combination countries
- By fostering collaboration between Dutch NGOs and the water technology sector, the aim is to achieve impact on SDG 6 and support Dutch companies in expanding their exports to these markets. This approach combines aid, trade, and financing, leading to sustainable development.
- For now, the focus is on scalable pilot projects in combination countries.
How does it work?
The programme consists of four building blocks that are applied in both markets:
- Branding of identity
Actively promoting Dutch water technology expertise internationally using innovative marketing techniques. - Development of market intelligence
Know your market: collaborating with local partners and companies to gain valuable market intelligence. - Cooperation and consortium building
Proactively identifying and approaching potential consortium partners. - Access to finance
Facilitating access to finance by sharing knowledge and connecting relevant stakeholders.
