The Sand-Cycle monitor, based on RFID technology, developed by Brightwork and marketed by its sister company BW Products, shows to be a perfect fit for optimizing operations of filter plants.
After the first successful launch in the Netherlands, a number of water and waste water filter plants have now been equipped with Sand-Cycle in England, Wales, Norway, Belgium and Germany. Plant operators are thrilled by the added value of the tool in their daily operations. The field data are continuously transferred to Brightwork’s servers and converted into valuable operational data. It helps the operators to use their assets in the most optimal way and reduces down time and plant performance failures.
The development and implementation of the technology will also be addressed at one of the theme sessions on data management (Digital disruption in the water utility value chain) at the European Water Tech Week in Leeuwarden, in September 2018.
Brightwork is continuously developing new technologies in the field of water and waste water treatment, monitoring and control. Ideas are converted into prototypes and tested in close collaboration with end-users. In this way the time-to-market is reduced and the rate of success increased.
