On October 9 and 10, the annual Wetsus Congress will be held in City Theatre de Harmonie in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands.
Monday, October 9, Wetsus will kick off with a morning program with keynotes from different perspectives on this year’s theme: ‘Synergy in Research and Innovation’. Among the speakers are Robert-Jan Smits, (European Commission, Director-General Research & Innovation), prof. Jean Fréchet (KAUST University, Saudi Arabia) and prof. George Hawkins (Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of DC Water, USA).
After parallel sessions in the afternoon, the program continues on Tuesday with the focus on science. Keynotes will be delivered by prof.dr. Alexander Kuhn (Institute of Molecular sciences, University of Bordeaux, France), and prof.dr. Daniel Bond (Department of Microbiology and BioTechnology Institute, University of Minnesota, USA). Various scientific topics will be addressed in the 10 parallel sessions on this congress day.
