Knowledge Roadshow: health and climate control in swimming pools
On Tuesday, May 27, the Swimming Pool Expert Group is organizing the third edition of the Knowledge Roadshow – Handbook Swimming Pools on Tour, following the success of knowledge sessions one and two!
How important is climate control, and what impact does it have on the health of swimmers and pool staff? Specialists Dr. ir. Maarten Keuten and ir. Gertjan Middendorf will guide you through this practical knowledge session, covering everything you need to know about health and climate control.
Health and climate control in swimming pools
Since early 2025, air quality parameters have been enforced according to the rules of the Environment and Planning Act, which came into effect in 2024. Maarten Keuten (TU Delft / Hellebrekers) will open the session with a presentation explaining the background of these parameters and their impact on both water and air quality, as well as the health of pool visitors.
Gertjan Middendorf (Rosenberg Climate Technology) will then delve into the design objectives of the climate control system and the influence of ventilation on air quality. He will discuss how to prevent deviations and which practical measures are effective in case of any issues.
