From 26 to 28 October 2026, the international water technology sector will come together in Leeuwarden, the capital of water technology. During the fourth edition of the European Water Technology Week (EWTW), entrepreneurs, scientists, policymakers, investors and water clusters will meet at WaterCampus Leeuwarden to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaborations and accelerate innovation.
EWTW brings together research, technology and market implementation in one inspiring programme. Participants gain access to the latest insights, meet international experts and discover practical applications of water technology.

Programme overview
The three-day programme combines plenary sessions, in-depth breakout sessions and business-oriented activities.
Monday 26 October – Leading innovation for a resilient water future
The week starts with a plenary programme featuring international speakers and inspiring keynotes. During this day, the Marcel Mulder Award and the WIS Award will be presented. Five promising innovators will pitch their solutions to an international audience of experts and decision-makers.
Tuesday 27 October – Water technology leadership: from scientific insight to business impact
This day focuses on knowledge and innovation, with 20 sessions covering the latest developments in water technology. Science and business come together to translate insights into practical solutions. An optional tour will also be organised to experience water technology in practice.
Wednesday 28 October – Leading the water tech industry: from vision to value
The final day begins with a plenary programme hosted by UPPWATER. In the afternoon, keynote presentations and business-oriented breakout sessions will focus on topics such as European legislation and doing business in international markets.
Exhibition & networking
The exhibition floor is the beating heart of the European Water Technology Week. Here, technology providers, start-ups, scale-ups, research institutes and investors meet to present innovations and explore new partnerships.
Throughout the event there are several opportunities to connect, including:
- networking drinks
- matchmaking sessions
- informal meet-ups
- demonstrations and showcases on the exhibition floor
The exhibition floor is now open for participants. Organisations can choose from several exhibition packages to present their innovations to an international audience.
