Water is a huge challenge in Mexico

The Water Plan in Mexico predicts that in 2030 91 billion cubic meter of water is needed when only 68 is available. A huge challenge! Next to that only 47% of wastewater is treated and reused with an outdated infrastructure causing leaks and risks of pollution. Mexico’s new government is giving priority to human rights to water and sanitation in the new National Development Plan 2019-2024. More information
