Water Challenges and Opportunities in Mexico
Mexico faces major water-related challenges. Ageing infrastructure, leakage and pollution risks put increasing pressure on water availability. Only half of the country’s wastewater is currently treated and reused. At the same time, this creates opportunities: the Mexican government is investing heavily and introducing new legislation to address these issues.
