Enterprise Europe Network (EEN)

Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is the largest support network for organizations with international ambitions. EEN helps entrepreneurs, research institutes, universities, and technology centers free of charge to find partners worldwide. The network consists of approximately 600 organizations spread across 56 countries.

Enterprise Europe Network Netherlands supports you with practical information and advice on innovation and internationalization. Water Alliance provides support in the water sector, such as assistance in finding your market, setting up a profile in the network, and connecting you with, among others, our partners.

Water Alliance is a partner in the EEN NL consortium, a EU project running until June 2025.

Who is this interesting for?

EEN is interesting for entrepreneurs, research institutes, universities, and technology centers looking to internationalize, innovate, or find partners for collaboration in technology, research, and development.

How can I make use of this?

Are you a water technology company from the Netherlands? Through EEN, you can access a wide range of services. These include finding international partners for collaborations, receiving support to participate in European subsidies such as Horizon Europe, and obtaining advice on regulations, intellectual property, and entering foreign markets. As a partner in EEN Netherlands, Water Alliance assists water companies by connecting them to relevant markets and partners and optimizing profiles within the network. This allows you to grow faster and more efficiently in international markets.

Pilots supported by EEN:

A short film about the Naiadnet Sensor. Bringing such an innovation to market requires strong partnerships and funding. Kooijman credits EU projects like CircInWater and EEN for making the development of the NaiadNet Sensor possible. “CircInWater provided the financial support needed to turn this idea into a market-ready product,” he says. “And Water Alliance plays a vital role in connecting innovations with launching customers. They understand the market needs—both in the Netherlands and internationally—which is invaluable for innovators like us.”

Most entrepreneurs associated with the Water Alliance have an intrinsic ambition to make the world a little better. A wonderful example is the company Aqa.Earth, founded by entrepreneurs Mateo Mayer and Martijn Wagterveld and their partners Frank Akkerman and Michiel Oudakker. Their mission: “We monitor, predict and improve the quality of your living environment based on how soil & water interact.” The development of this innovation was made possible thanks to support from CirclnWater project and the European Enterprise Network (EEN).
