Closing Event REGAIN

Pharmaceuticals out, value in: What if we no longer see wastewater as waste, but as the circular key to a sustainable industry?

After three years of intensive research, it is time to share what REGAIN has achieved. Researchers, students, and water professionals have worked together on innovative solutions to a major societal challenge: how can we make wastewater suitable for reuse while protecting our vulnerable Wadden Sea?

On 22 January 2026, we will present the results. During the symposium, we will guide you through the findings, insights, and future visions of this groundbreaking project. Expect an inspiring program with engaging speakers, surprising outcomes, and practical tools for the future.

Why you shouldn’t miss this:

  • The latest insights on removing pharmaceutical residues from treated wastewater
  • Practical applications for industry and the water transition in the Wadden Sea ports
  • Inspiring stories from students, researchers, and partners
  • A look into the future of water reuse in the Netherlands
