Expert group Industrial Water

The members of the expert group possess the necessary knowledge and experience, which they are happy to share as advisors for any automation and/or sensing issues. They do this, among other things, by organizing TechTalks. These are sessions where a current issue is central, and technological solutions are proposed.

Expert group Industrial Water focuses on:

  • Water quality: A current topic in this regard is water scarcity. Urgent issues related to water scarcity require more than conventional solutions. Sharing knowledge on innovative sensor techniques, proposing sensor solutions, and unlocking relevant measurement data contribute to making decisions for sustainable water management. In this way, they contribute to the circular economy.
  • Data availability: The necessity to collect data securely and use it to make predictions and optimizations. This is to develop algorithms that lead to cost efficiency and sustainability. Additionally, ensuring compliance with regulations in the process industry.

The expert group aims to present information as accurately as possible to everyone involved in water and environmental technology. They do this, among other things, by sharing knowledge with other technology companies and in collaboration with clients, which allows them to gain new insights together. Organizing meetings or symposia, attending trade fairs, and giving lectures also contribute to this

“Water and environmental technology is always evolving. Right now, we are making significant strides in measurement and control. For individual companies, it is harder than ever to keep up with these advancements. We do it together.”

Laws and regulations

The Industrial Water Expert Group deals with the following laws and regulations

  • The Environment and Planning Act

What is Industrial Water?

Fluid Sensoring is all about detecting liquids in the broadest sense of the term. This includes measuring water hardness, detecting specific chemicals, oxygen presence, or temperature. Through Fluid Sensoring, we gather data that enables corrective actions. In our expert group, we explore technologies for the future. Control Solutions are control mechanisms used to influence the composition of liquids. These controls are essential for compliance with legislation, to prevent equipment damage, to affect processes, or for other purposes. By measuring the impact of these controls, and combining this with Fluid Sensoring, it is possible to optimize processes—whether manually or through an algorithm

Objectives of the Expert Group

  • The acquisition of knowledge in the field of the Expert Group Fluid Sensoring & Control Solutions.
  • Informing Water Alliance members and clients in a transparent manner about laws and regulations.
  • Highlighting trends and enabling members to make the most of opportunities.

SDGs as a guideline

In the expert groups, we already use the SDGs as a guideline to implement the sustainability goals of our organizations, collectively as an industry, both nationally and internationally. The ambition of Water Alliance is to keep our environment livable and healthy and to limit and manage climate change. Together, we work hard to achieve the highest scores and inspire other countries to make improvements. The Industrial Water Expert Group specifically focuses on the following SDGs:
