“WE WON!” – Acquaint wins Aquatech Innovation Award in the category Transport and Process & Control

Acquaint has won the Aquatech Innovation Award in the category Transport and Process & control with their innovative Inline Pipeline Inspection dashboard.

The jury praised the system’s ability to connect with other systems, which has been a historic challenge with other digital innovations. With their Inline Pipeline Inspection Dashboard the company wants to change the way inspection data is going to be received and used by water utilities all over the world. Bringing them one step closer to their goal: creating Better Insights and Safer Pipelines all over the world.

Aquatech Innovation Award 2023

Last week, Acquaint exhibited at the Aquatech Amsterdam trade fair. Aquatech Amsterdam has been the platform for water tech professionals to exchange knowledge, build new relationships and create high-quality leads since 1968. “We had some awesome and interesting conversations and gained some valuable new contacts’’, thus Erik Driessen, CEO of Acquaint. But the highlight of their week happened at the grand opening of the trade fair. The company won the Aquatech Innovation Award in the category Transport And Process & Control. “We are beyond excited to take home this amazing award, it’s a fantastic recognition of all our hard work’’, Driessen said. The Winners of the Aquatech Innovation Awards are carefully selected by a jury of eight, led by chairman Prof. Cees Buisman.

The Inline Pipeline Inspection Dashboard

Acquaint’s winning Inline Pipeline Inspection Dashboard is an interactive data viewer in which the pipeline is centred. It maps out the spots in and on the pipeline that are assessed by inline inspection and highlights the spots that need to be looked at and/or are potentially troublesome. This dashboard shows, by means of colours and labels, which parts of the examined pipe are compromised. This is done by mapping out several anomalies, i.e., healthy wall thickness, ovality, deformation, joint angular displacement and joint width of water pipelines or rising mains. The dashboard looks like a map. On this map you can zoom in on inspected pipelines to get a more detailed view and change filters such as anomalies. It’s also possible to change critical thresholds like ovality and angular rotation to the extend the client wants, to get the most out of the data obtained and get the insights exactly tailored to everyone’s needs. This makes investment decisions easier and more accessible and changes the way inspection data is going to be received and used by water utilities all over the world.

Better Insights, Safer Pipelines

The future is looking bright for Acquaint: “Winning this award made us even more excited for what’s next’’, Driessen states. “We already made some great steps in operating worldwide, but we are hoping that the recognition we’re getting with winning this award will make us go even more global!’’ The company will keep on improving and innovating to reach their goal: creating Better Insights and Safer Pipelines all over the world.
