Calling all water technology companies!
WaterStart, in partnership with the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development, the NSF Futures Engine in the Southwest, and the Desert Research Institute, has opened RFP 27 and is seeking solutions for three water priorities:
Alternative water treatment approaches to pressure-driven membranes that remove multiple constituents, including salinity, organic carbon, and contaminants of concern (i.e., PFAS) for potable reuse applications.
Advanced leak detection and containment solutions for commercial applications.
Next-generation, high efficiency cooling alternatives.
Shortlisted companies may be invited to participate in WaterStart’s Pilot Program, whereby we co-fund trials with our Partners to test and validate technology solutions. A funding opportunity is awarded on a competitive basis but not guaranteed. Funding assistance for a project can range from $15,000 to $100,000.
The deadline to submit is Friday, November 7, 2025.
If you are a start-up, early-stage, or established company that is ready to prove your ability to scale, please apply!
