On Thursday, November 28th, we will host our General Assembly Members’ Day at the World Horti Center, the place where innovation and sustainability in greenhouse horticulture come together. Throughout the day, we will delve into how circular solutions can shape the future, with special attention to the role of water and residual flows. An inspiring speaker will introduce us to the possibilities of circular greenhouse designs for water-scarce regions, after which we will work in interactive groups to translate these challenges into concrete, innovative applications.
In addition to the workshop, we will come together during the General Assembly meeting to discuss the most important developments within Water Alliance. We will end the day with an informal networking reception, offering ample opportunity for networking.

Broaden your horizons with new applications in greenhouse horticulture
Workshop | Sustainable Greenhouse Design for a Water-Scarce Region
During this workshop, we will explore in small groups the possibilities of circular greenhouse designs for water-scarce regions, where it is essential to convert residual flows into raw materials for the greenhouse. The greenhouse horticulture sector is continuously evolving, creating opportunities for companies that supply raw materials, process residual flows into new materials, or develop innovative solutions. The demand from the international food market goes beyond just greenhouse horticulture; connections between various sectors are needed to achieve true circularity.
The focus will be on international projects with complex challenges surrounding the supply and disposal of raw materials. During this workshop, your expertise will be utilized to come up with a fully circular process, with greenhouse horticulture as the central element.
Your techniques in the field of environment and water may contribute to the innovative and sustainable solutions needed for (international) greenhouse horticulture. This workshop will be full of inspiration, providing you with new energy, surprising insights, and potentially some valuable business opportunities.
