Get ready for the European WaterCampus Business Challenge 2027!

Do you run a company – startup or scale-up – in water technology and want to accelerate your route to international markets? Or are you working on a promising innovation and considering bringing it to market through your own company? Then mark your calendar for the WaterCampus Business Challenge 2027!

The event will take place from 5 to 9 April 2027, on and around WaterCampus Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.

Through a unique programme, startups, PhD researchers and entrepreneurs from medium-sized companies will have the opportunity to further develop their innovative ideas and turn them into successful businesses.

Why participate?

  • Network with peers and experts: Meet other innovative entrepreneurs and professionals in the water sector.
  • Pitch to investors & customers: Get the chance to present your idea to potential investors, launching customers, and technology partners.
  • Learn from top coaches & CEOs: Experience five days of intensive training and mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts.

What to expect?

  • A 5-day program focused on business development and strategy
  • Personalized coaching and feedback from experienced professionals
  • Exclusive access to the WaterCampus network with over 300 companies and 40 research institutes
  • Presentation of your business plan to a renowned panel of experts and investors

Selection criteria

Candidates are evaluated based on their innovation potential, sustainability, and market opportunities. Participants with the most promising ideas will be selected to join this exclusive challenge.

Practical information

Cost: €750 (excl. VAT and travel costs), including accommodation, meals, and training program. The remaining costs are sponsored by regional, national, and European governments and Wetsus.

Location: WaterCampus Leeuwarden, the European innovation hub for water technology.
