WaterCampus Business Café: Build your own AI assistant

Are you curious how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used within your organization in a smarter, faster, and more effective way? During the WaterCampus Business Café on Tuesday, October 28, we’ll explore the world of AI with inspiring speakers and a hands-on workshop where you’ll build your own AI assistant.

Why participate?

AI is developing at lightning speed and offers many opportunities, even for SMEs in the water sector. Think of AI tools that generate content, handle customer inquiries, personalize communication, or optimize marketing strategies. But where do you start? What are smart and realistic applications? And how can you tailor them to your specific organization?

During this Business Café, you will gain:

  • Access to the latest insights on AI
  • Concrete, real-world examples of successful AI applications
  • A hands-on workshop to build your own CustomGPT (AI assistant)
  • Inspiration, networking opportunities, and personal guidance in a small group setting (max. 40 participants, max. 2 per company)

This event is exclusively for members of Water Alliance and is made possible in part by UPPWATER.

Programme

Location: Business Center Johannes de Doper, Leeuwarden
Time: 12:30 – 17:00

  • 12:30 – Walk-in & Welcome
  • 13:00 – Opening by Ruth Rottiné (Wettermerk)
  • 13:30 – Keynote by Bas Prins (FortyTwoAI): Inspiring AI use cases from practice
  • 14:30 – Break
  • 14:45 – Workshop: Build your own AI Assistant (CustomGPT)
  • 16:15 – Networking drinks
  • 17:00 – Closing

About the speakers

Bas Prins – FortyTwoAI
Bas worked for years as a marketer before founding FortyTwoAI in 2023. He now trains and advises organizations such as the Dutch Lottery, PME Legend, and the Ministry of Defence on how to implement AI effectively. In his talk, he will demonstrate how AI can add real value and how you can start using it right away.

Ruth Rottiné – Wettermerk
With 13 years of experience in water technology and communication, Ruth helps organizations strengthen their strategic positioning. She shows how AI is not just a technical innovation, but also a strategic and human-centered tool.

About the workshop

In the workshop, you’ll create your own AI assistant using a CustomGPT tailored to your daily work. Think of a tool that generates texts, handles customer service, or supports your internal workflows.

What you need:

  • A laptop
  • Preferably a ChatGPT Plus account (alternatively, you can follow along with a colleague or via the big screen)

Due to the small-scale setup (max. 40 participants, max. 2 per company), there will be plenty of room for individual guidance and tailored support.

You can register until Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Participation is free of charge, but places are limited. First come, first served!
