REDstack\u2019s groundbreaking technology, named desalt-ED, promises lower operating costs, reduced energy consumption, and fewer cleaning requirements compared to conventional EDR systems.
The partnership begins with a demonstration project for the treatment of purified water and its reuse for agricultural purposes in the Canary Islands, contributing to the water supply in this water-scarce region.<\/p>\n\n
REDstack technology offers solutions for specific needs within the water cycle. In the drinking water sector, it enables the desalination of groundwater and surface water, as well as the removal of specific problematic substances to guarantee supply quality. Regarding reuse, it facilitates the tertiary treatment and desalination of wastewater for use in agricultural irrigation, industrial applications, and other purposes. In the industrial water sector, the technology enables water recovery and reuse in industrial applications such as boilers or power plants, in addition to the selective removal of specific contaminants.<\/p>\n\n
Project demonstration in practice
During the demonstration period, both companies will jointly monitor key parameters such as operational stability, efficiency in the removal of unwanted substances, and energy consumption. The goal is to demonstrate the feasibility of the technology through stable and long-term operation, maximizing the production of high-quality water and reducing energy costs and costs for purification processes\u2014one of the biggest challenges of traditional EDR technologies.<\/p>\n\n
