After a previous reduction, Ferr-Tech set the ambition to bring the footprint below 0.2 kg CO\u2082-eq\/kg. That goal has now been achieved \u2013 and even surpassed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FerSol\u00ae now has a CO\u2082 footprint of 0.18 kg CO\u2082-eq\/kg. This result widens the gap between FerSol\u00ae and conventional chemistry. For comparison: widely used alternatives show significantly higher values. A 50% sodium hydroxide solution has a footprint of 0.43 kg CO\u2082-eq\/kg, while a 40% ferric chloride solution comes in at 0.34 kg CO\u2082-eq\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CEO Richard Bruins explains: \u201cAchieving a footprint of 0.18 is not just a technical milestone, it shows who we are as a company.
