In August 2024, Aquastill announced the acquisition of SolarSpring\u2019s assets in the field of Membrane Distillation, following the insolvency proceedings of SolarSpring GmbH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The takeover by Aquastill underlines their commitment to the further development of Membrane Distillation as a Sustainable Thermal Desalination technology for both sea water and industrial waste water. And also their dedication to beautiful meaningful projects like SuperClean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SuperClean project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SuperClean project stands for addressing the water nexus problem through superhydrophobic membranes: membrane processes are the solution for waste water recycling and resource recovery. The project aims at creating a new superhydrophobic membrane or membrane coating which would lead to superior wetting resistance, chemical resistance, as well as properties such as higher flux, better antifouling and anti-scaling characteristics etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SuperClean consortium consists of a mix of experts in the field of wet and plasma processing of membranes together with experts in Membrane Distillation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aquastill, one of the leaders in modular membrane distillation technology (using waste heat powering desalination of sea water and industrial waste water), takes part in the SuperClean project.
