In a time when numerous technological startups are emerging, Holland Sensor has proven itself as a promising player in water quality technology. The company has successfully completed its second investment round. Following an initial funding round with business angels, strategic investor Albert van Beek has now provided financial support. Van Beek is convinced that Holland Sensor\u2019s technology is essential for the future of water management.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The new funding will be used to accelerate the market launch of Holland Sensor\u2019s innovative sensor technology. Investor Van Beek states: \u201cI had been looking for a meaningful and impactful investment for some time. I truly believe that Holland Sensor, with its Mizu\u00ae Sensor, can make the world a better place, and I am happy to contribute to that.\u201d Holland Sensor will relocate to a much larger facility in Driebergen in mid-2025, where extensive research and laboratory facilities will be established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Water management is becoming increasingly crucial worldwide, both in terms of quality and quantity. Holland Sensor responds to this need with the development of the Mizu\u00ae Sensor, a digital solution for rapid and accurate laboratory-grade water quality measurements of metals. The Mizu\u00ae Sensor is uniquely designed for process water, drinking water, wastewater, and surface water, delivering measurement results within minutes. With direct cloud publication, water managers and companies can quickly intervene in case of contamination, providing a crucial time advantage over traditional laboratory analyses. With this innovation, Holland Sensor reaffirms its commitment to reliable and sustainable measurement solutions for the water sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Paul Hoogewind, CFO of Holland Sensor, explains: \u201cThe first funding round, held mid-last year, was successful, but this second round exceeded our expectations. Due to product development over the past months and positive validation results, there was significant interest from investors.\u201d Holland Sensor\u2019s founder and CEO, Leo de Zeeuw, adds: \u201cOur choice to initially work with business angels in the first round provided us with flexibility and agility. The second round progressed even faster, and it\u2019s great that an experienced entrepreneur recognizes the potential and has decided to invest. This allows us to fully execute our plans.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The secured funding will be used to prepare the Portable Mizu\u00ae Systems (PMS) for market launch and accelerate the development of the Stationary Mizu\u00ae System (SMS). Additionally, Holland Sensor is launching a practical study to determine whether the technology can also be used for PFAS detection. The initial results of this study are promising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With the successful completion of this investment round, Holland Sensor is also taking an important step toward international expansion.
